There are two kinds of chilli paneer recipes – dry and with gravy.  Serve it as a Chinese paneer starters making dry version or as a main course by making gravy version of it. This will surely be the hit recipe you will ever make at home. When we hear the word Chinese, the very first thing that comes in our mind are the Chinese food that we see on streets. INGREDIENTS:-

  • 200 g paneer
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 pinches of pepper powder
  • Oil as needed
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onions greens
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onion whites
  • 1/2 cup sliced capsicum/bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion cubed
  • 1-2 Green chilies slit
  • 1/2 tsp corn flour
Sauce for seasoning
  • 3/4 tbsp soya sauce
  • Chili sauce to taste
  • 1/2-1 tsp Vinegar

  Recipe:-  

  1. Mix the red chili powder, sugar and little water to make the red chili paste. Set aside.
  2. Make a thick batter of corn flour, pepper, and salt using little water.
  3. Add paneer to the batter and fry (deep or shallow, according to your choice).
  4. Retain little oil in the pan and fry garlic in it.
  5. Fry veggies until partially cooked.
  6. Add sauces, vinegar and red chili paste.
  7. Add 2½ tablespoon of water to the pan. (Alternatively, if you’re using corn flour for a thicker sauce, add that to a bowl and mix with 2½ tablespoon water and stir well. Pour the flour mixture to the pan and cook till the sauce thickens.).
  8. Add fried cubes and sauté for 2 minutes.
  9. Add soya sauce, chili sauce and vinegar and garnish with the spring onion greens.
  10. Serve hot.
